Newsletter: Developers Conference 2020 is being postponed
Hello.
Making the right decision isn't the easiest. However difficult it still is the right thing to do.
COVID-19 & Developers Conference 2020
As you are aware, we are at the moment going through a very hard time with the pandemic, COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus) all over the world. Due to various lock downs and travel bans, we have no choice than to postpone the Developers Conference 2020 at a later stage this year.
This decision came out from the organising team after having duly examined all possibilities in every aspect and angle. In order to have the Developers Conference 2020 be the success that we have promised you, we have reached the conclusion that we will therefore delay the Event until this pandemic is cleared out for the safety of each and every one of us. It is better to be prudent than sorry.
Flatten the curve
Although you might have seen several articles on this topic I would like to highlight the main reason for our decision to postpone the Developers Conference.
The spread of the COVID-19 can hardly be prevented but surely be slowed down. Some days earlier NPR published an article on Flattening A Pandemic's Curve: Why Staying Home Now Can Save Lives. The main take-away is to slow the spread and to keep the capacity of the health care system intact.
Hence it would be irresponsible to run the Developers Conference with over 530 registration as of today.

Please don't be "Patient 31" and stay safe!
Kind Regards,
The Organising Team
